OVERVIEW

ENERGY EFFICIENCY DILEMMA (PROBLEM)

Stockton University sought to tie its entire campus into a clean and resilient energy infrastructure and needed a company that could not only conceptualize the project but deliver, own and maintain multiple clean energy projects on the North campus at Stockton University. Blue Sky Power was selected to design, construct, finance, own, operate, and maintain multiple clean energy projects on the North campus at Stockton University.

BLUE SKY SOLUTION

Blue Sky Power developed, constructed, owns, operates and maintains about a 1.0 MW Solar Parking Canopy, a 21,000 BTU Solar Thermal system, and a demand reduction and energy management system.

Blue Sky Power secured a $3.2 million award grant through the United States Department of Energy for the project, which included 900kW solar PV arrays on carport canopies, a 21,000BTU solar thermal system, and a demand reduction and energy management system. 20yr

These improvements/additions to the campus infrastructure will save Stockton University over 75% on energy costs.

  • Blue Sky Power secured a $3.2 million grant for the project
  • Stockton University will save over 75% on energy costs

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT

The environmental impact of the energy projects completed at this campus are enormous and have positioned the college as New Jersey’s Green University.
